Björn Karl Köhler

In his forays through the present, Björn Karl Köhler often intuitively focuses on the unseen and overlooked. People and phenomena that are usually – partly unconsciously, partly consciously – blocked out of everyday perception.

Another aspect of his work is the seemingly magical expansion of our reality and our existence in the form of reflections and transformations – optical, but above all mental. He achieves this not only through visual means, but also through unusual narratives that place what is seen and experienced in a thought-provoking context.

Additional facets include experimenting with new perspectives and viewpoints, the poetry of the chosen imagery as well as questioning current situations providing food for thought. It is therefore about nothing less than the exploration of our reality and our being.
